The climate crisis is becoming more urgent every year, but it’s so big and scary that we often struggle with where to start. In this gentle five-week online class, we’ll make space for our feelings and work toward achievable individual and collective ideas for healing ourselves and our planet. With a mix of small group discussion through forum posts, journalling, meditation, and resources from the Climate Wayfinding program, come discover that joy is possible as we engage our imaginations to create a better, fairer, sustainable world for everyone to live in.

This flexible discussion-forum class will be on the Canvas platform. You will receive a log-in from Julianne once you register and pay for the class. It is not meant to be arduous or time-consuming. You simply drop into the online class during the active participation window of Tuesday and Wednesday each week for 5 weeks, read what Julianne and your classmates have posted, and respond as you have the time to do so.
Each week, we’ll do a one-word feeling check-in, focus on one element of climate, talk about one messy emotion, and learn a creative practice together. I’ll offer optional homework to reinforce the concepts, and pose some questions for discussion in each forum.
You read and answer the questions during the Tuesday and Wednesday active participation window, as you have time and capacity around your other work and life commitments. Then during the rest of the week you slowly put some of the discussion elements into practice in your life, until we come back together the following week. Together we’ll build a supportive community of people dedicated to healing ourselves and our planet to create a better world.
Expect to be inspired, to learn new strategies for finding joy within the climate crisis and imagining a more sustainable future for everyone during our 5 week class.
